Born in Malmö and educated at Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm, Caroline Löwgren divides her time between creating new products for her own company STASH, co-hosting a top-rated homestyling show on Swedish television and working on various interiors projects.

After graduating in 2002, Löwgren took a 6 month sabbatical before beginning her career in the props department of a film production company. The experience renewed her interest in product design and interior design and she has not looked back since.

"Good design to me is always function with a twist. The purpose of the product doesn't need to be immediately obvious but without one, it could never be good design".

Her UNSTASHED noteboard has been a huge success in Scandinavia. Like many of her designs its function is initially disguised by its visual appeal. The string binding under which photographs, postcards etc are displayed is handwoven to ensure optimum linear alignment. This counter-balances the form of the rounded perspex board to create a graphical focus that looks good with and without the post-it notes.
