read and sleep in peace
15-11-2007
The world has waited some time for a reading lamp that lets the late night bookworm in a shared bed continue page turning without the glare annoying a slumbering partner. Seed, a versatile wall-mounted night light by Hedda H. Braathen for Northern Lighting, solves this problem.
Constructed with a “rotating arm of light”, Seed can be twisted to accurately focus the light direction on the reader and not the sleeper. Using a filtered low watt LED source means that Seed gives a softened glow with no heat emission making it safe to touch and reposition at any time. Cool on the eyes and hands. The on-off loop chord is sensibly situated at the front of lamp for easy access and wriggle free action. The organic design, inspired by the transformation of a seed to a plant comes with a choice of 4 fabric covers and a tip sheet on how to create your own unique look.
Available from February 2008. RRP £148
